{:fr}Communiqué: marche des personnels de santé{:}{:en}PRESS RELEASE: health workers support march{:}
Moreover, we find this injunction administratively irregular, infantilizing, ostensibly contrary to any professional ethics, and totally degrading for the image of Cameroonian health personnel.
As a professional organization concerned with the image of the medical profession in Cameroon, MedCamer can not endorse such practices. We therefore urge each medical institution and doctor to bear in mind its duty and to disregard the image of the Cameroonian health system, which would inevitably be hampered by participation in the forced march.
Anticipating possible administrative reprisals, we urge the heads of institutions and administrative authorities to remain faithful to the democratic commitments of our republic, to freedom of expression, to the ethics of the medical profession and to the right to Dignity of health professionals in the performance of their duties. We hope to be able to count on the support of the National Order of Physicians of Cameroon as regards the respect of these two last characteristics that are dear to him.
We invite our members and colleagues to remain focused on our professional and ethical commitments and to continue to exercise with courage, dignity, professionalism, solidarity and competitiveness.
For MedCamer
The Secretary General
MASSONGO MASSONGO
