Initial training

DEPARTMENTS AND INSTITUTIONS APPROVED

According to the « Country Profile of Human Resources for Health », directed by the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Public Health, 6 faculties and institutes are approved for the training of doctors in Cameroon *.
The training program in general medicine obeys the rules of the LMD: Licence (3 years), Master (5 years) and PhD (7 years).

ACCESS TO MEDICAL STUDIES

Access to studies is by national competitions, reserved for Cameroonians candidates, and in the limit of seats available to strangers from States that have signed an agreement of cooperation with the Republic of Cameroon (excluding admission quotas).

Candidates are selected in order of merit and the availability of seats. In any case it can not be eligibility or admission from one year to another.

National aptitude test

The eligible candidates for admission must hold the Bachelor of General Education Series C or D, the General Certificate of Education or any other equivalent diploma by the Ministry of Higher Education

National entrance examination in the fourth year

Eligible for admission applicants must be 28 years of age at the first of January of the competition year, hold a biomedical undergraduate, Bachelor of Secondary Education (Series C or D), or General Certificate of Education or any other equivalent diploma by the Ministry of Higher Education
